Does the absence of something can be considered as a definitive input?

In simpler terms, if you DONT see one station name on the board, does that mean that the train WILL stop there?

It's a WRONG* way of displaying information since you are forced to take decisions by the absence of information. In this case, if YOU dont see a station name, you are FORCED to make a conclusion that the train will stop at that station, despite the fact that may be you just missed the name which was already there.

I believe it should be the other way round where they display the stations in which the train stops. And once you SEE the name, you're sure that it WILL stop there.

After all seeing is believing :)

*one friend of mine had a heated discussion with me arguing that the people who come to mumbai (not the ones who are already livini here) are more worried about the stations at which it doesnt stop.

But let me tell you. Irrespective of mumbai or bangalore, the question is whether you should take decisions by the absence of information. Period.

Could've become morning's fresh toast :) i was locked inside the office cabin when the building next to ours caught fire!!

Woke up to complete darkness at 10am .. the building was power-shut. Banged on the cabin door to alert the security guy who had come up to take a leak... luckily; in fact it was him who had locked the cabin thinking on one's there..

And by the time i got out office, it was all over :)

I was dismantling an old CD drive that I bought for 40 bucks from a 'raddi' shop... (well I actually bought it) and look who came out!!

How could anyone ever imagine that something human-like can come out of such a Digi-Mechy stuff!! (he has his thing too... look closely.. he he :P )

Well, Here's a collection of more than 1000!!!!

Well, these are interesting seeds which explodes (or "pops" to be more accurate) after ten-twenty seconds when they're exposed to moisture.

You should experience it to understand what I mean.

Well, those of you who had tried it from me when I was in IIT* might recall happily :)

But it's extremely difficult to collect so many. I'm bloody proud of my little cousin brothers Joel and Jerome, who had collected more than 1000 seeds (of two different species) in this season.

Their last season collection was lost in an accident! (he spilled water into the collection while demonstrating how to 'detonate' a bomb-seed for a local camera man--that'd be me.)

*Where to find Bomb seeds in IIT

1)-Look at the left edge of the sidewalk when you're walking from Main building to H11, you'll find them in the patch before the road to staff-hostel

2)-Look at the boundary hedge of the nursery on the left when you're walking from Convo to Hospital.

Or if you can come all the way down to Kerala.. we have plenty of them :D

Somewhere outside the NID, I saw this on concrete seatings covered with broken tiles and they had written something in gujju with tile pieces.. Well, I should say, quite nice font-weight for such a tile-piece-font! :)
